The Arctic Workshop

The GEOTOP research center and the Centre d’études nordiques are pleased to host the 41st annual Arctic Workshop on March 2-4, 2011 in Montreal, Canada.

The Arctic Workshop focuses on Earth and environmental sciences, including climatology, archeology, geochemistry, geomorphology, hydrology, glaciology, soil sciences, ecology, oceanography, Quaternary history and paleoenvironments.

Anyone working on past, present and future high-latitude environments is welcome to join this international meeting, which brings together researchers and students in a friendly and informal atmosphere.

Students are strongly encouraged to participate, as this is the perfect opportunity to discuss your ongoing research with your peers, get productive feedback from senior researchers, and develop your communication skills.

Financial assistance is available for a limited number of students giving a talk or presenting a poster thanks to support from the NSF and INSTAAR. Click here for more details.

Special Joint Event

Just before the Arctic Workshop, on March 1st, 2011, GEOTOP is hosting the Workshop on isotopic tracers in high-latitude environments, organized by the CFQCU Isotope network.
Registration is free and open to all participants of the Arctic Workshop – just indicate on your registration form whether you will attend it.
